Chapter 1 The Sacredness and Vulnerability of the Bond
The Sacredness and Vulnerability
And it came to pass that the Creator entrusted the mother with a holy charge, to nurture and protect the child of her womb.
From the first heartbeat, the child’s soul is knit to the mother’s, and their bond is a reflection of divine love.
Yet, the adversary of peace has sown seeds of discord, and the bond is threatened by the toils of the world.
Behold, the mother labors under the weight of many burdens: the yoke of poverty, the chains of overwork, and the shadow of fear.
And the child, deprived of the mother’s tender care, wanders in the wilderness of longing, seeking the shelter of her embrace.
Thus saith the Lord: “As a shepherd gathers the lambs, so shall I gather the mothers and their children, and I will bind up their wounds.”
Therefore, let the people rise up to defend the sacred bond, to cast off the yoke of oppression, and to build a land where mothers and children may dwell in safety and peace.
For the bond between mother and child is not merely of the flesh, but of the spirit, a covenant that endures through all generations.
And the people shall say, “Blessed is the mother who walks in the ways of the Lord, for her children shall rise up and call her blessed.”
So let it be written, so let it be done.
