The Call for Justice

7 Hearken, O citizens of the land, and establish laws that uphold the mother’s power to safeguard her child from the snares of evil.

8 Grant unto the mother the means of sustenance, that she be not bound in chains of dependence, nor ensnared by abuse.

9 Provide a dwelling place that standeth as a fortress against danger, free from want and judgment, where she may dwell with her children in peace.

10 Build sanctuaries of refuge, open to the mother without fear of reproach, and let no trembling report be silenced by dread of loss.

11 Judge with severity those who harm the innocent, that their hands be stayed and their hearts reproach the deed.

12 Let mercy find a place in the heart of justice, that the repentant may be guided to healing, and the broken bond be restored.

13 Establish voices of wisdom and healing among the people, that no mother walk alone in darkness, but be led by counsel and compassion.

14 So shall the land flourish, and the bond be honoured as a covenant everlasting, a testament to the strength of love.
